'Research psychologists have theorized that our initial wounding experience occurs very early in life, at or before ages 9-10 months. The research suggests at or before this age an infant will directly experience for the first time being different than the nourishment, warmth and love bestowed on it. But we need not see this as sad or tragic as how else can a human being become all their soul has destined them to be if they not first experience themselves as individual? For some infants, the wound will literalize into experiences of abuse and trauma, while for many others it will be a more subtle occurrence.
